I suggest reading the "About Me" page before you read this page. It will tell you more about myself and possibly help you to see where I'm coming from a little better.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God... (Romans 3:23)

Though every sin is equally evil, it sometimes seems that there are worse ones than others. This is due to human morality, or lack thereof. Though our morals may tell us that it's not as bad to steal as it is to kill, this is not so. All sin is equal. All sin is also washed away through Christ's blood. No matter the size of your sin or the number of times you have committed it, it will be gone when you accept Jesus Christ as your personal saviour. This does not mean that you will no longer sin. The temptation will still be there, believe me. However, God provides a way out. He shows you the way to the door, but you have to go through it.

Now back to the verse. Everyone sins. Me. You. The Pope. Everyone. Not one person is excluded. However, no one is excluded from being saved either. No matter how deep you are into sin, there is a way out. That way is Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Homosexuality

The first place I notice any mention of homosexuality is in Genesis 19:4-11  (4)Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom-both young and old- surrounded the house. (5)They called to Lot, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them." (6)Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him (7)and said, "No, my friends. Don't do this wicked thing. (8)Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them to you, and you can do what you want with them. But don't do anything to these men for they have come under the protection of my roof." (9)"Get out of our way," they replied. And they said "This fellow came here as an alien, and now he wants to play the judge! We'll treat you worse than them." They kept pressuring Lot, and moved forward to break down the door. (10)But the men inside reached out and pulled Lot inside and shut the door. (11) They then struck the men outside with blindness so they could not find the door.

Many people are surprised to realize that homosexuality goes back this far. Many people just read over it without actually taking in what it says. Do notice, however, that it describes it as wicked. Which means evil, bad, not good. But then people say, "Well, in Genesis people sacraficed goats. Does that mean we should still do it?" No. In the New Testament, things change a bit. However, homosexuality is still a sin: (9)Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolators nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders (10)nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

However, once again I tell you that there is a way out. The scripture continues: And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the spirit of our God.(1 Corinthians 6:11)
